****EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS****

**As a member of the Consumer and Retail Marketing team, develop and lead the global messaging and positioning for Consumer Products and Retail marketing to drive business and revenue growth. Provide the framework for the end-to-end intelligent enterprise story for these industry sub-segments. In this role, you will:**

* Develop global and regional industry-specific messaging and creative out-of-the-box marketing programs to drive demand and generate revenue in a highly matrixed organization

* Lead strategic marketing planning and budgeting based on Consumer Products KPIs: revenue priorities, global business objectives and market opportunities

* Create industry-specific social media content and execute social media programs aligned with sales initiatives to increase SAPs share of voice (SOV) in the marketplace

* Author and deliver industry relevant content based on consumer and retail specific business priorities to drive demand, new pipeline and revenue

* Drive the innovation agenda (internally and externally) jointly with the Industry Business Unit, Global Marketing and other key SAP stakeholders

* Humanize the SAP brand through storytelling mediums: i.e. assets, social media, videos, testimonials, case studies and speaking opportunities

* Develop integrated marketing plans with corresponding budgets and cost estimates to include key messages, positioning, sales enablement, partner enablement, product innovation, marketing strategies, social media strategies and industry content

* Identify and engage with relevant industry communities and digital channels to increase SAPs share of voice (SOV) in the marketplace

* Plan events to drive demand and influence pipeline

* Collaborate actively with global market units: Provide strategy, guidance, and build/package content in a scalable way to enable execution of regional marketing programs

* Engage with lighthouse industry customers and ecosystem partners to share SAPs thought leadership and serve as an advisor in their transformation

* Engage with industry influencers, i.e. media, analysts and industry thought leaders to build awareness and influence preference to SAP in the marketplace

* Influence SAPs overall corporate messaging to incorporate an industry lens

* Support annual Intelligent Enterprise & Industries operational, Go-to-Market, portfolio, and financial planning processes to ensure flawless execution in support of revenue objectives

**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**

* Bachelors degree or equivalent required

* Minimum of 8-10 years of consumer related industry experience and/or demonstrated ability to creatively think outside the box and learn quickly with previous industry marketing experience

* Fluent in English language

* Strong communicator; experienced written and verbal presentation skills

* Public relations and analyst relations experience in the technology marketplace is beneficial

* Strong strategic and entrepreneurial skills, ability to think out of the box and drive innovation from idea through execution, to completion

* Proven ability to drive demand and awareness in the Consumer Products industry

* Strong ability to influence and execute through highly matrixed organization and ability to collaborate across virtual teams to achieve combined goals

* Skilled in digital marketing, social media, integrated marketing planning and industry and product segmentation disciplines

* Collaborative attitude / presence & drive with strong focus on results and execution

* Multicultural work experience in several organizations, countries or locations is a plus

**WORK EXPERIENCE**

* 5 to 8 years expertise crafting and executing top-level marketing strategies and content strategies for the Consumer and/or Retail industries and associated initiatives to build market awareness and support pipeline creation working with regional and country marketing and sales teams

* Experience in working together with Senior Management / C-user level customers

* Deep consumer and/or retail industry and marketing experience desired
