What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with company stakeholders on vision, strategy and execution
  • Lead design, development, deployment, and management of the system s data architecture; map requirements to technology
  • Create new data models, metadata structures, and pipelines
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data security
  • identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge and track the efficacy of the data infrastructure and its individual components.
  • Continuously improve the performance and reliability of the data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with and manage data teams
  • Assist in establishing and managing engineering budgets
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Tune the performance of the data infrastructure and optimize the cost
  • Define and manage data governance policies
  • Collaborate with data science teams and facilitate their data needs
  • Collaborate with other team members on AI architecture and development
  • Assist with Business Intelligence requirements
  • Create and maintain a library of all data architecture artifacts
  • Solve complex architectural challenges with innovative design patterns
  • Be a member of the architecture committee that makes key technological decisions
  • Translate, build and design blueprints to address functional requirements
  • Contribute to product development
  • Troubleshoot complex issues - report, debug, and upgrade software
  • Mentor and collaborate with other team members
  • Develop data engineering policies and procedures
  • Assist in hiring engineers and key team members
  • Coordinate with team members to drive and meet deadlines


Requirements

  • BA or MS in IT or related discipline; 7 years of experience
  • Passion for innovation
  • Prior experience building large-scale data infrastructure for SaaS web applications
  • Strong experience with data modeling and building data warehouses for enterprise-scale analytics
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of modern data stacks, tools, and frameworks
  • Good understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including NLP and LLMs
  • Solid understanding of data lifecycle management
  • Strong experience with building and managing scalable and robust ETL pipelines using tools such as AirFlow and DBT
  • Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka
  • Ability to create robust enterprise data models
  • Ability to map legacy data structures/processes to newly developed data structures/processes
  • Deep understanding of Python programming language
  • Strong experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake
  • Ability to create advanced SQL queries to develop data profiles needed for analysis and to derive results.
  • Prior experience with data security design patterns
  • Proven ability to learn new technology quickly and effectively
  • Communicating clearly and appropriately and thinking clearly under pressure
  • Ability to multitask


Nice to Have Skills / Experience

  • Experience with performance tuning, redundancy, load balancing, high availability, and disaster recovery
  • Experience with DevOps in the cloud
  • Experience with Data Vault 2
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning models and AI
  • Experience with caching solutions such as Redis
  • Exposure to Big Data technologies
  • Experience in Healthcare
