Job Description

The applicant shall serve as a senior procurement analyst and technical expert on acquisition-related matters areas in the assigned organization. The applicant shall maintain continuous awareness of all functions and aspects associated with the assigned acquisition program(s) or areas, including relevant Government statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures. Assignments may include technical and advisory support to acquisition professionals; or to programs involved in the acquisition of military vehicle systems, subsystems, or parts, logistic support, services, installation support, or other activities. The applicant shall manage workload to assure priorities are handled in accordance with the organizations requirements.

Requirements

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Ability to obtain security clearance.

Must have a High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience.

Mastery of DoD acquisition systems, policies, statutes, regulations, and compliance issues and techniques.

Comprehensive knowledge of the DoD procurement process, automation, and procurement needs, sufficient to develop, implement, and control a wide spectrum procurement related issue.

Expert knowledge of the defense acquisition cycle; business strategy principles and practices; contract types, methods and techniques; and management goals, objectives, and needs.

Expertise in both oral and written communication techniques with knowledge and skills needed to provide expert technical leadership, analysis, staff coordination, and consultation in the contracting and related areas of procurement.

Ability to devise effective strategies; exercise initiative and mature judgment and use seasoned technical knowledge to develop and implement procurement approaches and solutions to problems within guidelines, which consist of a wide range of Federal, departmental and agency procurement policy statements, procedures and regulations, legal precedents and local program policy.

Ability to use a broad spectrum of analytical, evaluation, team building, and policy approaches and processes based on interpretation of current policy statements and goals; awareness of related systems and policies that have an inherently conflicting effect on, or that are affected by, the system or area under review; special or unique considerations in the area under review; ability to become conversant in unfamiliar subject areas in order to prove staff support on any subject on which assistance may be requested; impact on other participants.

Five (5) years' experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat.
