**Position:** Janitor I- Dayton **Location:** Dayton, OH **Job Id:** 9456 **# of Openings:** 1 **Janitor I** *This position is part-time with a starting wage of $10/hour.* *Evening shifts ranging from 4pm-10pm, Monday through Friday.*
**Summary** To clean assigned area to an acceptable level of quality. Have a working knowledge of janitorial terms.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
1. Maintain a safe and clean environment.
2. Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to:
* Restroom cleaning
* Vacuuming
* Dusting high and low
* Emptying trash cans
* Floor care, such as dust mopping and wet mopping
**Education Requirements**
Ability to read or identify names of chemicals on containers.
**Experience Requirements**
Experience with proper use of chemicals and equipment.
**Qualifications**
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
**Skills and Abilities**
1. Practical knowledge of custodial work, including cleaning and waxing compounds, mechanical equipment used. 2. Ability to read or identify names of chemicals on containers. **Physical Demands** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
