Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is accepting applications for the position of Housekeeper.

The Housekeeper performs various tasks and processes related to the care, cleanliness, and general appearance of Aquinas College and its facilities. Cleaning includes daily assignments, regularly scheduled projects, and special work details.
Housekeeping duties include tasks such as:
Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and shower areas.
Emptying containers for trash, recycling, and composting and replacing liners.
Recording weight measurements for trash, recycling, and composted materials.
Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting.
Monitoring and reporting building maintenance needs.
Stripping, shower scrubbing and waxing tile floors.
Cleaning carpets.
Qualifications Include:
A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
A minimum of two years of professional cleaning experience, preferably at an educational institution.
Ability to work 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Ability to periodically work weekend shifts and odd hours as needed.
Environmental consciousness and a sustainability-focused commitment.
An accommodating and friendly customer service attitude and good time management skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Work is done primarily indoors in various temperature conditions.
Frequently exposed to noise, fumes/odors, dirt/dust, and chemicals.
Physical demands include: Lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, bending, climbing, walking, and seeing.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
