We are seeking an insightful and motivated individual for a position on our Research Team as a Medical Research Associate. This position reports to the Medical Research Manager and will work alongside a team of Medical Research Associates. You will be responsible for acting as a medical consultant to our attorney clients. You will be tasked with examining medical records, simplifying intricate medical terminology, and assisting clients in assessing whether the case aligns with the required standard of care. This is a truly unique opportunity to interact with the nation s top practitioners in healthcare and law on a daily basis.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with our attorney clients to understand their complex medical cases
  • Perform a thorough review of medical records and documentation and present findings via an in-depth phone call to help clients understand the merits of their legal cases
  • Understand every aspect of client research need, including case theory, desired expert background/geography/industry tenure, and project timeframe
  • Attend client meetings
  • Act as team player in all aspects of your duties, acting in the best interests of your team, the company and our clients
  • Think critically of improved methods of expert discovery and client service, be focused on sharing best practices
  • Work towards achieving team and company production goals, and delivering experts to clients within three days


Qualifications:


  • Medical Degree required
  • Experience in some or all of a residency program; Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred
  • 1-5 years of clinical work experience preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of medicine required
  • Excellent listening and communication skills; ability to create and develop relationships with clients and subject matter experts
  • Continuous self-learner and competitive nature
  • Ability to work with a high caliber team and autonomously
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to learn complex material and multitask
  • Positive attitude is a must
  • Computer literacy; proficiency in MS Office; comfortable using cloud-based solutions to manage day-to-day business (i.e. Salesforce)
