JOB TITLE: Outside Sales/Account Manager

LOCATION: California, Arizona, and Southern Nevada region; Remote; Full Time

***Extensive travel in the region required***


We are currently seeking an Account Manager to lead a small team in strategic planning, business development, and other important projects for a client in the large equipment/industrial equipment industry. This is a SALES role for someone that wants to lead, loves to travel, loves large equipment, and is looking for a teamwork/team success mentality.


This client conducts online public auctions across the US providing customers the opportunity to purchase large equipment in the utility, construction, government, transportation, and rental industries. This equipment includes used cars and trucks, heavy construction equipment, bucket trucks, cranes, and digger derricks and their services are end-to-end including transportation, financing, cleaning, de-identification, and more.

The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset coupled with operational acumen, overseeing territories spanning Southern California, Arizona, and Southern Nevada, while effectively managing direct reports across multiple states.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Territory Management:

Candidate will need to reside in Southern California, Arizona, or Southern Nevada

  • Team Leadership and Development:

Leads and coaches associates, fostering development for current and future roles within our client's organization

  • Customer Relationship Management:

Establishes and nurtures positive customer relationships

Leads team in promoting all aspects of our client to both new and existing customers, actively seeking out opportunities with us

  • Performance Management:

Tracks Key Performance Indicators and manages performance to objectives set by senior management

  • Process Improvement and Workflow Management:

Supports and implements effective workflow processes and systems to drive continuous improvement, growth, and customer satisfaction within the organization

Manages other processes within their group

  • Representation and Communication:

Represents the company effectively; Communicates any customer needs/requests outside the company s scope to the appropriate entity


Sales and Marketing:

  • Answers customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, uses, and contract terms
  • Attends sales and trade meetings, and stays updated on market conditions, business trends, and industry developments
  • Collaborates with colleagues to exchange selling strategies and marketing information
  • Prepares sales presentations and proposals outlining product specifications and applications
  • Provides ongoing technical support to customers
  • Stays updated on information about new products to accurately represent and recommend them
  • Estimates equipment to determine contract terms and auction estimated values
  • Visits establishments to evaluate needs and promote products


Administrative Tasks:

  • Completes expense reports, sales reports, and other necessary paperwork
  • Maintains customer records using automated systems
  • Negotiates prices and terms of sales and contracts
  • Prepares consigner contracts for obtained lots and submits lots for processing


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor s Degree required Engineering, Marketing, Business Preferred
  2. Minimum 6 years related experience
  3. Ability to manage direct reports in multi-state areas
  4. Current valid driver s license
  5. PC skills using spreadsheets, word processing and other office management applications
  6. Mechanical aptitude, product or industry knowledge
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Must be available for extensive overnight travel - 60% travel in the California, Southern Nevada, and Arizona region!

$90,000 - $100,000 Base Salary DOE; OTE is $150,000+
