Description

We are currently seeking skilled Foreman to join our growing team. As a Foreman you will provide leadership for major industrial, retail, grocery and commercial projects throughout the region. The Foreman is responsible for coordinating operations and oversee workers at construction sites.

  • Organize, plan and prioritize work activities with Superintendent to coordinates daily operations on assigned project to ensure that proper resources (labor, equipment, material) are in place for the timely completion of work
  • Reviews all contracts, specifications, plans, and project documents to ensure that the work is built to the appropriate standards and to satisfaction of the Client
  • Provide on-site coordination for all phases of the construction projects including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment
  • Resolve problems when they arise
  • Takes responsibility for crew's performance as it relates to company goals, safety audits, and compliance with policies and procedures. Takes corrective and/or disciplinary actions to address deficiencies and policy violations
  • Monitors quality of work being performed on a daily basis
  • Train workers and tradespeople
  • Safety minded, resourceful, proactive and well organized
  • Promotes and complies with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Provides safety leadership by maintaining clean, safe working conditions
  • Conduct safety meetings, training and file timely accident reports
  • Perform additional assignments and assume additional responsibilities as needed


Requirements

Commercial Construction Foreman Job requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

5+ years of experience in commercial construction

2+ years of experience as a Construction Foreman with leading others

High attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience with boom lifts, scissor lifts and forklifts

Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications

Strong working knowledge and commitment to job site safety

Must be willing and able to travel and work out of town on various jobsites

OSHA 30 Certification a plus

Must be eligible to work in the US and have a valid drivers license

Pre-employment background screening (criminal, drug screen and DMV) is required for all positions
