Job OverviewThe Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for performing all functions necessary to maintain accurate inventory, by cycle counting, performing other miscellaneous audits and investigation of count discrepancies. This position requires a strong reliance on count accuracy, process control, product monitoring, movement coordination and reporting in order to control inventory.A Day In The LifePerform cycle counts and miscellaneous inventory audits to ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policyEnsure products are in proper locations, conduct searches to locate missing inventoryInvestigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventoryResearch and perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvementsConduct third party vendor audits to agree quantity and part number for received materialExecute assignments accurately and timely in a safe mannerPrepare various reports relative to the cycle counting processOther duties as assigned.What will help you thrive in this role?Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsProven time management skills; work overtime as needed to meet deadlinesExcellent math and analytical skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplicationUnderstanding of basic inventory control proceduresGood work attendance record requiredComputer experience in Microsoft Excel is desiredKnowledge of SAP WMS preferredAbility to use all warehouse equipmentRequires High School Diploma or equivalentHigh Attention to detailStrong independent workerSelf-starter, able to work with minimal supervisionAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesAdhere to all company policies, housekeeping and safety procedures and guidelines.CompetenciesHubbell IncorporatedHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
