Job Overview: As an HVAC Install Helper/Duct Cleaner, you will work closely with experienced HVAC technicians to assist in the installation, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of HVAC systems in residential properties. This is an entry-level position that offers hands-on training and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the HVAC industry. Responsibilities:
Assist HVAC technicians in the installation, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.
Conduct duct cleaning tasks efficiently and professionally, ensuring optimal system performance and improved air quality.
Use specialized duct cleaning equipment and adhere to proper duct cleaning procedures.
Gather tools and materials required for HVAC and duct cleaning projects.
Perform basic tasks such as carrying equipment, running ductwork, connecting electrical components, and cleaning and reattaching ductwork.
Follow instructions from HVAC technicians and learn proper techniques for HVAC installations and duct cleaning.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure customer homes are clean and free from debris after work is completed.
Adhere to safety protocols and follow HVAC and duct cleaning codes and regulations.
Learn to troubleshoot basic HVAC system issues and identify duct cleaning needs under the guidance of experienced technicians.
Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of projects.
Seek opportunities for learning and skill development to grow in the HVAC trade.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components is preferred but not required. Experience with duct cleaning is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to handle and operate duct cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
