Customer Service Sales Support Representative

Location: Elgin, IL

Pay Rate: $45,000 to $55,000

Job Summary:

As a Customer Service Sales Support Representative, you will play a vital role in assisting our client's sales division by providing exceptional support and service to customers. Your responsibilities will include handling incoming calls, qualifying leads, generating quotations, and fulfilling product sample requests. Additionally, you will serve as a key liaison between the sales team and customers, ensuring a seamless sales process and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. Your efforts will contribute to business growth, improved customer service, and successful sales initiatives.

Essential Functions:

Provide comprehensive inside sales support to the client's sales team.

Ensure prompt and professional handling of incoming customer calls, offering live assistance during regular business hours.

Conduct initial qualification of incoming calls and coordinate appropriate follow-up actions.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and technical resource for customers regarding product inquiries.

Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.

Serve as the primary sales support resource for remote satellite territories, as directed by the sales director.

Analyze sales data and trends to identify areas for enhancement and improvement.

Maintain effective communication with the sales team regarding objectives, challenges, and opportunities.

Perform other duties as assigned by the client's sales director.

Physical Demands:

This position primarily involves sitting for extended periods, along with verbal and written communication and computer and telephone operation.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor s degree preferred.

Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a sales or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with CRM software, preferably ActiveCampaign.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry terminology is a plus.

Willingness to learn and grow within the role, with a proactive attitude towards professional development.
