Summary:
Cage Cashiers are responsible for cash handling in the cage, and must be able to adhere to and follow Nevada State Gaming Control and in-house casino policies and procedures.
- Count in and balance cash drawer, using cage count sheet
- Complete sales transactions for cigarettes and other items
- Cash out Casino tickets for guests
- Add Free Play to Player's Cards as needed
- Sign up and issue guests Player's Cards
- Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
- Cash Sports Book tickets if the Sports Book is closed
- Pay out all jackpots to the manager on duty
- Conducts an inventory of all cash and its equivalents
- Answers incoming calls and transfer calls as needed
- Be knowledgeable of and able to explain/promote all Casino and Marketing events
Requirements
Qualifications:This is a Gamed position; qualified applicant must be over the age of 21 and able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration Card.Language Ability: Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language
Math Ability: Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately
Certificates and Licenses: Gaming Registration Card
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50lbs
Ability to work in a noisy, smoky casino environment
Ability to work in a small, confined, office-type setting
Knowledge/Skills: Excellent organizational abilities
Ability to handle cash, calculate accurately, analyze, and account for cash and coin
Excellent Customer Service skills
