Position Purpose:
This is a full-time, exempt position that will be reporting to the Director, Project Finance. This individual will be a critical member of Key Capture Energy's ("KCE") finance team, taking a hands-on role in all aspects of KCE's capital raising strategy, both at the project and corporate level. This individual will develop financial models and economic analysis while mentoring junior finance personnel. Additionally, this individual will support the development of asset level, portfolio, and corporate financing strategies and support presentation and broader executive team. This successful candidate will be deeply interested in energy project finance, power markets, and addressing the challenges of grid intermittency through deployment of standalone battery storage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models and performance economic analysis of KCE's pipeline, including greenfield projects, under-construction assets, as well as M&A opportunities.
  • Lead the analysis of preferred financing solutions at the asset, portfolio, and corporate level, including senior-secured debt, HoldCo debt, and tax equity.
  • Prepare presentations both for external use (Teasers, CIMS, etc.) and internal use (investment committee memos, financing strategy updates, project financial summaries, etc.), as well as support communication with KCE's sponsor.
  • Coordinate with KCE's internal departments (Development, Construction, Engineering and Asset Management) to coordinate diligence requirements for external counterparties throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage key assumptions for use in financial modeling.
  • All other duties as required.

Work Experience & Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with an IPP/vertically integrated developer or as a lender/investor in the infrastructure and energy space.
  • 3+ years of work experience in project finance, including demonstrated financial modeling experience. Understanding of tax equity structures a major plus.
  • Able to execute effectively under the pressure of tight deadlines, including support of external deliverables for financial counterparties.
  • Deep interest in energy project finance and power markets.
  • Bachelors in business, economics, engineering, or related disciplines. MBA preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work on a small team in an unstructured environment.
  • Strong organizational development and time-management skills.
