**Healthcare Sales Representative**

**Overview**

The Healthcare Sales Representative is responsible for implementing initiatives designed to facilitate the development of relationships between pediatricians, other medical professionals, and relevant stakeholders in the Sacramento area to increase the number of referrals.

**Essential Functions**

Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Operations, the Healthcare Sales Representative will develop strategic relationships with referring pediatricians and other medical professional practices with the goal of increasing the number of referrals coming from clinicians.

* Develop deep understanding of Opyas services and model

* Conduct targeted outreach to referring physicians, office managers, and other staff (via in-person meetings, telephone, email or other venues) to build and maintain strong relationships, share and obtain relevant information, and encourage referrals.

* Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to track activity and measure effectiveness.

* Lead medical professional-facing initiatives including information sessions, community events, conference booths, etc.

* Attend events/conferences for medical professionals and pediatricians to develop relationships and promote Opyas services.

* Design and execute new outreach ideas, with goal of increasing referrals

* Gather and assess market data and competitive intelligence to identify targeted referral list or new sources of referrals

* Support efforts to develop collateral materials relevant to Community Outreach work

* Perform other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**

* Education: Bachelor's Degree

* Experience:

+ Minimum 3-5 years of healthcare or sales experience. Previous sales experience working with pediatricians or selling pharmaceuticals in the Sacramento area strongly preferred.

+ Proven track record of developing and maintain deep relationships with medical professionals (preferably pediatricians) as well as internal stakeholders

* License / Certification: Valid California Drivers License and vehicle
