* GEOKON is a manufacturer of sensors and used in civil, mining and structural engineering throughout the world.
We are currently seeking **Mechanical Assemblers**, who at the direction of the Assembly Supervisor, is responsible for bench assembly operations to produce vibrating wire gauges. Assemble parts, pieces and/or products using a variety of tools and/or equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in an area of production in a manufacturing environment. Ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for final product. These are full-time positions.
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:**
+ Read, comprehend, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions and follow established procedures to accurately assemble products
+ Cable preparation; including stripping, tinning and labeling
+ Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools
+ Gluing and sealing using Loctite, epoxy, RTV and other compounds
+ Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts
+ Soldering and assembling various parts to VW transducers
+ Perform quality testing/inspecting to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards
+ Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel
+ Rework and/or repair assembled products according to engineering specification changes
+ Keep accurate records/logs etc.
+ Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment **Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ 1-3 years of assembly experience **Other Requirements:**
+ Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and blueprints for complex and standard product assembly
+ Ability to maintain equipment and a clean work environment
+ Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
