DESCRIPTION
Bus Mechanic
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Bus Mechanic to institute and carry out regular preventive maintenance program.
Monitor drivers' reports of vehicle problems and correct as soon as possible so as not to interfere with scheduled runs.
Maintain vehicle records, quarterly maintenance reports, drivers' weekly maintenance check sheets, records of oil
and filter changes, and records of preventative maintenance. Maintain vendor quotes, invoices, and records.
Responsible for having all vehicles inspected. Will drive as substitute bus driver as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of three years of experience as a mechanic preferred
- A minimum of two years of diesel engine experience preferred
- NJ School Bus Class B, with P and S Endorsements, no air brake restrictions preferred (will train)
- Diesel engine repair/service experience
- Ability to collaboratively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
