Position located in Rochester, MN
Responsibilities of the Associate Scientist-Immunology (In Vivo):
- Plan and conduct in vivo studies involving laboratory mice, including experimental design, protocol development and execution of procedures.
- Coordinate with research scientists to plan and implement in vivo experiments, providing input on study design, sample size estimation and statistical analysis.
- Administer test article and collect biological samples following established procedures.
- Perform detailed observations and measurements to assess the physiological and clinical effects of experimental treatments on mice, recording data accurately, and comprehensively.
- Maintain compliance with institutional animal care and use protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members to advance cross-functional scientific projects and standardize adoption of new scientific techniques.
Requirements of the Associate Scientist-Immunology (In Vivo):
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Animal Sciences or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with laboratory mice in a research or academic setting.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with researchers and laboratory staff.
- Ability to plan, organize and multitask to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of animal welfare principles and ethical considerations in animal research.

- In vivo imaging, tissue sectioning, Immuno histochemistry, immune florescence, microscopy, RNA isolation and qPCR.
