The Forklift Operator is accountable in operating and maintaining the Cradle/Stand sand delivery system by operating the Cradle/ Stand, performing preventative maintenance, maintaining proper sand levels in the customer blender hopper, and communicating directly with the data van during stage operations. This position provides support for operations through loading and receiving sandboxes. This position will be responsible for proficiency in forklift operations, verifying all logistical paperwork, and safely support the pad operations to ensure the safe optimal success of the business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Must be proficient in operating a forklift.
  • Responsible for leading the onsite process.
  • Perform daily DVIR maintenance and inspection of equipment, including forklift, cradle, dust collector and crew truck. Grease and lube forklift and chassis per guidelines and instructions.
  • Inspect, perform maintenance and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
  • Alert Lead Operator and/or Field Coordinator, to any damages or issues with equipment.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and accurate in a timely manner. Complete pre-shift Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Daily Vehicle Inspection Record (DVIR).
  • Send required information about equipment and logistics to the Lead Operator, or direct supervisor daily and as needed.
  • Work with Lead Operator on inventory levels and completion totals.
  • Communicate with customers as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all drivers/operators are in the designated safe zone during loading/ unloading process. Ensure Dance Floor safety procedures are followed by all onsite personnel at all times.
  • Work with Lead Operator to collect onsite inventory and create efficient stage management sheets based on inventory set up.
  • Follow all safety policies & procedures at all times, report any incident immediately to safety.
  • Assist the crew as directed by the lead/ supervisor.
  • Mentor SSE and train operators.
  • Identify safety hazards in the workplace. Comply with all OSHA and other essential safety standards as set forth by SandBox, it's customers or other regulatory agencies. Attend and present information at safety, pre-shift and other meetings.
  • Update physical inventory using the SBX portal and email threads, while ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Proficient at operating the Forklift, Cradle/ Stand and Dust Collector.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have knowledge and understanding of operating forklift/ heavy equipment. Forklift certification is required.
  • Required Forklift certification provided by SandBox.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to use hand tools.
