Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses.
  • Review reconciliations performed by other finance department staff.
  • Assist SVP of Finance with financial audit preparations.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and auditing procedures.
  • Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Participate in Finance Department meetings.
  • Participate in organizational Quality Improvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) in accounting or related field of study required.

Experience: Two years of experience in accounting preferred.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel; and customized software. Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies as the organization changes.

Certificates & Licenses: CPA Preferred

Other Requirements: The ability to relate with effectiveness to all members of the health center; The ability to effectively perform several duties of the department and the ability to organize and achieve goals in a busy setting as well as effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
