**Description**
NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human service agency, is currently seeking a Security Officer for its Intensive Residential Treatment Programs in Westborough, MA.
The IRTP's are short-term locked facilities serving male and female youth who are referred through the Department of Mental Health (DMH). Located in Westborough, MA, NFIs two, fifteen bed IRTPs are state-wide residential programs for adolescents who have a serious mental illness and/or severe emotional and/or behavioral disturbances.
The Security Officer will oversee security-related operations at the facility.
**Essential Functions**:
* Maintains responsibility for the security and safety of the physical property, staff and clients..
* Possesses knowledge of all site-specific policies and procedures.
* Creates and implements written emergency response protocols.
* Operates innovative, wireless technology devices/systems.
* Possesses the ability to work in all weather conditions, including rain and snow, and in cold/hot temperatures.
* Participates in trainings and other professional development events.
* Performs crisis prevention and intervention, including utilizing de-escalation and/or physical management techniques, as needed and allowed.
* Completes other duties as assigned.
* Performs all duties in accordance with the Agencys policies and procedures.
**Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma, or equivalent, or five(5) years of related experience.
* Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
* High energy level.
* Exceptional interpersonal/customer service skills.
* Exceptional oral communication skills.
* Must hold a valid drivers license, with at least one (1) year of driving experience.
* Must possess the ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
* Must possess the ability to climb stairs, ramps and/or ladders.
* Must possess excellent vison and hearing.
* Must possess the ability to read and speak English.
* Must successfully meet and maintain all federal, state, and/or local mandated background check requirements.
**Hourly Rate:** $19/hr
Benefits for full time employees include: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 403(b) Retirement Plan, 3 weeks paid vacation time, Paid Sick Leave 11 paid holidays and Tuition reimbursement up to $2500 per fiscal year.
