Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following) :

* Oversee the daily food and beverage service operations of the JW Marriott Nashvilles Room Service operation and ensure quality standards for foodservice

* Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B issues as they arise

* Monitor inventory levels, bar equipment, and other supplies as needed

* Oversee and ensure the cleanliness of the designated area in accordance with state and local regulations

* Recommend and administer food and beverage service procedures and service standards

* Monitor and supervise the in room mini-bar operation

* Resolve guest concerns and implement resolutions in a timely manner

* Organize all documentation for shift work on a daily basis including pre-shift reports, daily training topics, shift floor plan, requisitions for beverage, food and sundries and manage labor on a daily basis through the time management system.

* Ensure all staff are meeting all established standards of service through ongoing and recurrent training systems

* Monitor and test service skills of staff, retrain and reinforce all standards on food and quality and service details daily; Provide feedback, coaching and appraisals as necessary

* Ensure compliance by all food service personnel with Company and departmental rules, policies, brand standards, and procedures

* Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Position Requirements :

* Ability to speak, read, write and understand English

* Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment

* Minimum three (3) years of experience in F&B Department, previous In Room Dining experience in a luxury hotel is preferred

* Experience in a luxury hotel is preferred

* Food Safety Employee Training required

* Familiarity with food service concepts, practices, and procedures

* Effective supervisory and communication skills

* Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills

* Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills

* Able to understand guest needs

* Strong leadership skills

* Ability to manage and lead a team of 10 Internal Guests

Education :

* Requires high school education or equivalent; Associate or Bachelors Degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management or related major is preferred, but not required
