Data & Analytics Consultant (Reporting)
Technossus is looking to add to our Data & Analytics team! As a Data Consultant (Power BI), you will play a critical role in helping clients solve complex business problems by leveraging technology. You will have a prescriptive, yet open and inclusive mindset to contribute to the success of our clients and the company culture. You must have strong technical skills, communication skills, and a growth mindset.
Location: SoCal/Newport Beach as consultant will be traveling to client sites in the region.
What You Do:
- Analyze client requirements and propose technical solutions that meet those needs.
- Design technical solutions that meet client requirements.
- Develop and implement technical solutions that meet client needs which includes programming, testing, and deploying solutions.
- Provide technical expertise, explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Escalate any potential pitfalls or issues early.
- Continue learning; stay up-to-date with new technologies and be able to recommend new solutions to clients.
- Mentor and coach team members.

- You have 3+ years of experience in building Power BI reports and consulting.

Technical Requirements:
- Data analysis: Understanding how to analyze data is crucial. This includes knowing how to clean and transform data, perform calculations, and derive insights from it. Knowledge of statistical methods and data visualization techniques is also beneficial.
- Power BI Proficiency: Solid understanding of Power BI is essential. This includes knowing how to create reports and dashboards, connect to different data sources, and building data models.
- Data Modeling: Understanding data modeling concepts is important for creating efficient and effective data models in Power BI. This involves designing relationships between tables, creating hierarchies, and optimizing data structures for performance.
- DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Proficiency in DAX is crucial for performing calculations and creating calculated columns, measures, and calculated tables in Power BI. Knowledge of DAX functions and their usage is essential for manipulating and analyzing data within Power BI.
- Experience with basic database design, modeling, and development in a modern relational database platform, such as SQL Server.
- Nice to have: Python proficiency
Physical Requirements:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay for this role is $90,000 to $120,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
