We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join the team at a food manufacturing company.
Day to Day Responsibilities include:
- The EHS Specialist will foster and promote employee safety and ensure compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety laws. The job scope currently includes three manufacturing plants.
- The EHS Specialist interacts with 1000+ employees at all levels of the organization and provides training as needed.
- The EHS Specialist maintains compliance with all environmental permits and standards, including the site's Air Permit, Stormwater, Water, TIER II, TRI Form R, Spill Control and Countermeasures, and Wastewater.
Experience Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience in an EHS related position in a manufacturing environment
- Experience creating, updating, and implementing trainings for plant personnel (up to 1000 employees & multi- site companies)
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry) safety standards and EPA regulations and policies
- Experience in a food/beverage, pharmaceuticals or any other CPG/FDA regulated environment.
- Experience building or updating a program around lockout tagout.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS
- Knowledge of OSHA 29
