Position Overview

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing purchasing processes and procedures. The individual in this role is dedicated to making sure we are making the best decisions possible when it comes to purchasing of all materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the entire logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics service providers
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of freight transportation, category management, transportation planning systems, demand planning, materials handling, and supply chain management
  • Proficient in analyzing data and using it to drive decision-making
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically - Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to effectively manage a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
