**Description:**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.Research business growth in service area to identify possible new customers.2.Consistently call on potential new dealer and industrial accounts to solicit new business.3.Write and present proposals to customers.4.Meet quantity volume and margin requirements which are established by management.5.Provide detailed daily activity reports that specifically identify your customer contacts, plans for follow-up and upcoming activity. These are crucial components of our overall buying strategy and need to be thorough and timely.6.Track account activity, adequacy of service and pricing and adjust as appropriate to maintain customer loyalty.7.Ensure all boxes and product are accounted for, for your customers.8.Deal with customer service problems courteously and expeditiously.9.Identify opportunities to increase business with existing customers.10.Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customer and coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure. Maintain an energetic, knowledgeable, outgoing and interested demeanor when dealing with customers in person or over the phone.11.When visiting customers wear appropriate professional attire and make sure your vehicle is clean. Reliable vehicle needed in order to travel to customers.12.Represent client in a manner that reflects well on its capabilities and service quality.13.Negotiate fairly and effectively, fully documenting all agreements and confirming them with the customer.14.Where necessary, confirm pricing and service arrangements with client management before commitment.15.Attend industry association meetings as directed by management.16.Keep travel and entertainment expenses within budget, and fully document them.17.Know and adhere to client's confidentiality policy as contained in the Employee Handbook.18.Provide backup for dock buyer as required.19.Work closely with operations to ensure most effective use of equipment and crew time.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Has intermediate job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, enter database information, create presentations, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
