Paralegal

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal with experience in labor and employment law, particularly in transactional matters, to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting attorneys in labor and employment transactions, including drafting and reviewing employment agreements, conducting legal research, and assisting with the preparation of legal documents and filings.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of labor and employment transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents such as employment agreements, severance agreements, and non-compete agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues, including statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Prepare and file legal documents and correspondence with government agencies and courts.
  • Assist with the coordination and management of transactional matters, including organizing and maintaining case files, calendars, and deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team and provide support on various legal projects as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a paralegal, with a focus on labor and employment law.
  • Strong understanding of labor and employment law concepts and principles.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in transactional matters, including drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
