We are searching for a Plant Manager with experience in heavy industrial manufacturing. The selected candidate will join our client's senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in driving safety, environmental compliance, quality assurance, production efficiency, timely delivery, maintenance operations, and cost optimization. Qualifications:
- 8+ years of strong leadership experience in heavy industrial manufacturing with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in labor union relations, including participation in negotiation processes, is advantageous.
- Exemplary leadership qualities with a hands-on management approach.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, fostering effective team dynamics.
- Proven ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
- Innovative thinking with a strategic outlook, driving operational innovation.
- Strong analytical capabilities, troubleshooting skills, and problem-solving acumen.
- Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards is a plus.
Essential Duties
- Cultivate a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and employee engagement by setting the example and adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.
- Create and sustain a positive work environment in alignment with the company's core values and Code of Business Conduct.
- Strategically plan, coordinate, and direct all facets of safety, environmental compliance, quality control, production, delivery, and maintenance operations to achieve organizational objectives.
- Develop and manage operational and capital budgets, closely monitoring production costs and operational expenditures while implementing cost-saving measures.
- Lead the Operations team in personnel management, including recruitment, retention, training, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee inventory management for raw materials and finished goods, and supervise operational capital projects.
- Drive employee engagement in continuous improvement initiatives, challenging conventional practices, and embedding lean manufacturing principles.
- Establish and refine policies and procedures pertinent to manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance and optimization.
- Collaborate seamlessly across various support functions to maximize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is a minimum requirement, with preference for an MS or MBA.
