Job Description:

As a Helicopter Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing various components of helicopters, with a focus on electrical systems. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assembling, modifying, and installing wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components in helicopters.
  • Clearly documenting all work performed, controlling equipment status tags, logging critical information during installation, and verifying parts requests.
  • Reading and interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions to effectively perform tasks.
  • Utilizing a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink guns, and complex, specialized aircraft test equipment.
  • Effectively communicating, both orally and in writing, with other employees, supervisors, and stakeholders as required in the performance of duties.
  • Performing assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions, while adhering to required safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety equipment.

Additionally, you may be assigned ad hoc projects by your supervisor as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical/avionic aviation production, with a focus on helicopters preferred.
  • Knowledge of rotary or fixed-wing aircraft.
  • General overall knowledge of aviation electrical/avionic components.
