Summary

The Packaging Production Manager implements brand or campaign creative for marketing,

retail, wholesale, events, and any internal corporate requests. This position incorporates

industry practices and any regulatory requirements into package designs. Work for this

position consists of collateral, digital/social, in-store posters/signage, advertising, OOH,

displays, presentations, video, and packaging set up with multiple vendors.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversees a team across the company to cascade creative out to various deliverables across different states and sizes.
  • Maintains the integrity of the brands along with adapting layouts for multiple market/state versions with attention to each state s specific legal requirements.
  • Manages and provides mentoring and assistance to the Graphic Designers in directing the implementation of the creative, setting up print ready files, reviewing their work, reviewing vendor proofs, and providing feedback.
  • Work with the Director of Creative Services to cascade creative out to various deliverables or states / versions.
  • Provides input on asset creation, photoshoots, and file turnovers.
  • Leads the Production design process from start to finish across wholesale, retail, and corporate initiatives.
  • Ensures adherence to brand standards in all Creative and Production work.
  • Oversees team to prepare print ready files for production and file QA of others.
  • Works on multiple projects, simultaneously, while maintaining accuracy of execution.
  • Executes appropriate creative and content changes requested thru the review process, checking all work against requested changes before submitting for next review.
  • Reviews vendor proofs against released files for accuracy, provide feedback and direction.
  • Manages production and vendor relations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in graphic design or related
  • Five years in a packaging production design environment, experienced with digital and offset mylar, metallic bopp, cartons artwork.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat, and InDesign
  • Excellent understanding of PowerPoint
  • Solid asset creation, press ready file prep, QA and an in-depth knowledge of production and prepress process.
  • Design thinker
  • Retouching experience
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgement, decision-making and problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects at once within a fast-paced, deadline driven
  • environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and information organization
  • Leadership ability to manage, train, mentor, and direct others.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Physical Requirements: The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time. Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity.
