Job Summary:

The Operations/Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high standards of quality, and promoting a safe work environment. This role involves managing staff, optimizing workflow, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals.





Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Leadership:

    • Manage, mentor, and develop production team members to achieve performance targets.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and feedback.
    • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale.
  2. Production Management:

    • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets.
    • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
    • Implement and maintain production standards, policies, and procedures.
  3. Quality Control:

    • Ensure all products meet quality specifications and standards.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production area.
  4. Safety and Compliance:

    • Promote and enforce a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
    • Conduct safety training and ensure all team members follow safety procedures.
    • Investigate and report any accidents or safety incidents.
  5. Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Utilize lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Track and analyze production metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Inventory and Resource Management:

    • Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to order materials and supplies as needed.
    • Optimize the use of resources to reduce waste and control costs.
  7. Communication and Collaboration:

    • Liaise with other departments, such as Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth operations.
    • Communicate effectively with management to provide updates on production status and issues.
    • Prepare and present production reports and performance metrics.





Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
