Losey Insurance and Financial Services seeks to hire a full-time on-site Financial Advisor Assistant to support the wealth management team in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana branch office. The ideal candidate should be able to provide high-level, professional administrative support in wealth management and be responsible for assisting team with day-to-day client needs. The candidate must be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and support-related tasks and be able to work independently and accurately. The candidate must also be well organized, flexible, and able to enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting the principal. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with the practice team, clients, industry professionals, and partnering companies while remaining flexible, proactive, and resourceful The candidate must also possess a keen sense of confidentiality and exercise good judgment and discretion.


Responsibilities Include

  • Assist with client support and time management through scheduling appointments
  • Manage and resolve client service needs i.e. issues with statements and transactions
  • Utilizing strong judgment in managing priorities of requests
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Must be able to work under deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment, remain cool under pressure
  • Heavy scheduling and coordinating of calendars and lists
  • Serve as a quality control point to ascertain all paperwork, policies, and procedures for client requests have been adhered to in accordance with all compliance requirements
  • Drafting agenda and meeting minutes, as well as proofreading
  • Organizing meetings, including the preparation of materials, managing takeaways, and follow-up.
  • Filing/organizing documents into the appropriate locations
  • Completing special project work as assigned
  • Assisting with and completing project work as assigned and special projects related to practice growth
  • Supporting other team members as needed


Requirements

  • Experience in executive administrative support (5+ years)
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Initiative and responsibility, to anticipate needs and follow through
  • Sound judgment knowing when to escalate an issue
  • Strong organizational/administrative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Desire and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility for overtime


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma, a college degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of financial products; securities and insurance licenses (FINRA Series 7, Series 66, or series 63, Life and Health insurance designation), but not required
  • Life insurance license a plus, but not required
  • Previous experience supporting at group head level/in the wealth management and/or trust space is a plus
  • Insurance license is not needed to apply; however, there is no cost to you in order to obtain a license


Additional Information

Generous compensation is NOT commission-based and is commensurate with the industry

Benefits

  • Base compensation range is $67,000 - $135,000. This is NOT a commission-based role.

Schedule

The office is open Monday through Friday and closed on weekends.
