LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a highly motivated Production Manager to join their team in Streamwood, IL. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing operations across two plants with a total of 25 production lines and 1000+ employees within the food manufacturing environment. You will lead 8 Production Supervisors ensuring adherence to safety standards, maintaining high-quality production output, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, quality assurance, and warehouse departments, to address issues and optimize production processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 8 Production Supervisors, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence.
- Oversee production scheduling, aligning with forecasted demand and optimizing line capacity to meet production targets.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, GMP, HAACP regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
- Investigate root causes of issues related to quality, production, and sanitation, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies to support production needs.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and warehouse departments to address operational challenges and optimize processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing LEAN, TPM, Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of production management experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Experience with LEAN, TPM, Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
