Eco Services supplies sulfuric acidregeneration services to the major gasoline producers in North America andsells concentrated sulfuric acid to other large scale industrial customers.Over fifty thousand acid shipments are made each year via pipeline, barge, railand truck. The business operates seven sites in North America 24 hours a day365 days a year supplying over three million tons of sulfuric acid. Thehighest priorities are providing safe delivery of every shipment and absolutereliability of supply. Without a steady supply of acid customers have nochoice but to slowdown or shutdown their operations which can cost over amillion dollars a day.

The general responsibilities for the Logistics Technician Responsibleto unload, load, and transfer the various products that are manufactured andused at the Houston plant in a manner that is safe and environmentallysound. Material transfers can be made to or from process tanks,barges, rail cars, tank trucks, and other specified containers. Thevarious products include, spent acid, fresh acid, oleum, sulfur dioxide, andsulfur. Perform the various tasks identified in the Shipping andUnloading procedures, for example, opening valves, pressuring up tank cars,loading fresh acid, operating pumps, monitoring tank levels, inspection reportsetc... Other functions or assignments as defined by supervision tomaintain efficient operation of the loading department and/or thePlant. Be able to utilize the computer to access plant informationas necessary, for example Outlook e-mail, Microsoft programs (Word, Excel),work orders as well as use these tools to conduct your job.

Additional Responsibilities for the Logistics Technician positionwill include:
Reviewing/Writing procedures
Completing work permits
Conducting safety meetings
Comply with all department, plant and corporate HSE policies and rules
Comply with all regulatory agency requirements
Participate in regular safety and toolbox meetings
Participate in HAZOPs and PSUSRs as required
Maintain high area housekeeping standards
Write and follow up on Safety Work Orders
Be well-versed in and compliant with all SOPs
Participation in risk assessment audits (PHA, CTA, JSA, etc) as applicable.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
TWIC card - Transportation Worker Identification Credentials
AND

Mariner's Certifications (Barge Tankerman's License) with 3+ years experience
OR
3+ years logistics experience loading/unloading tank trucks, railcars
OR
Dock Person in Charge (PIC) with 3+ years experience
