The Buckeye Ranch is currently seeking a Placement Services Supervisor to join our Foster Care department and PFSN departments. The Placement Services Supervisor provides direct clinical and case management supervision to a team of Placement Specialists who provide placement services to The Buckeye Ranch (TBR) Foster Care Network and Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN). The Supervisor will act as a financial steward working closely with the Associate Director of Kinship and Placement Services to ensure the agency is operating within the allotted budget. The Supervisor will model collaboration with other TBR programs, custodial agencies, families, placement providers and community partners.

Schedule: Full-time, Exempt, M-F, 9am-5pm (occasional weekend/evenings, on call requirement)

What you'll do:

  • Facilitates relationships between parents, custodians, and foster families when appropriate.
  • Provides timely and responsive support to placement providers.
  • Approves all residential referrals and assists Placement Specialist with arranging placement.
  • Closely monitors PFSN youth placed in residential and group home settings to ensure treatment plans,
    monthly progress, discharge planning is met accordingly.
  • Utilizes employee strengths in both professional development and corrective action planning. Assignments are clear and performance standards are understood. Coaches and counsels' staff on meeting applicable standards. Recognizes employees in public and corrects in private.
  • Promotes an ongoing culture of employee recognition and creates an atmosphere of teamwork. Works to achieve high employee satisfaction and retention. Routinely provides supportive and clear performance feedback.
  • Models & creates an environment of excellence. Develops others through mentoring and providing access to training. Utilizes team member and partner strengths with a focus on professional development and enhancing collaborative relationships.
  • Develops and maintains schedules that ensure appropriate staffing levels and work completion.
  • Successfully manages overall and/or departmental budget. Meets annual budget.


Who you are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Social Work, or a related field
  • 2 years of related Child Welfare or foster care
  • CORE Training and AssessorCertification; preferred
  • You have an active Driver's License, clean driving record, and proof of car insurance
