Position Overview:


  • Responsible for one or more heavy civil construction projects including self-perform clearing, erosion control, grading, utilities, asphalt paving, concrete, and striping/signage as well as management of materials and subcontractors.
  • Accountable for a project s overall performance including safety, quality, and financial outcome.
  • Maintains existing relationships by meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Develops new relationships and opportunities by embracing an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Self-starts and executes without continuous management by Senior Leadership.
  • Success in this role will come to someone who has excellent communication, time management, organizational, and delegation skills with a strong work ethic.

Platinum Paving and Concrete, LLC is a family owned and operated business with a focus on delivering projects through vertical integration including a company-owned equipment fleet, an asphalt plant, multiple concrete plants, aggregate supply, waste management, multiple yards, and dedicated divisional lines of business which support all aspects of civil construction. Core competencies include clearing, erosion control, grading, utilities, asphalt paving, concrete, and striping/signage.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years heavy civil construction experience and demonstrated experience as a Project Manager on jobs ranging from $5M to $30M in value.
  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar.
  • Ability to travel daily within a two-hour radius of Savannah, GA.
  • Ability to travel overnight occasionally.


Essential Functions:

  • Know the project budget and make cost conscious decisions.
  • Know the project requirements/specifications before operations start to facilitate effective planning.
  • Know your contract/scope of work and ensure payment for all work we complete.
  • Prepare accurate and timely pay applications.
  • Generate savings on the project through proactive, creative thinking.
  • Coordinate with field staff, subcontractors, and operations as necessary to effectively communicate project goals, schedule, expectations, and objectives.
  • Report to and coordinate with Division Manager to ensure appropriate labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor coverage on the project.
  • Ability to visualize and solve technical problems.
  • Manage job costs monthly through job cost and financial reporting.
