Summary of Major Responsibilities: The Senior Buyer is responsible for the procurement of raw materials all areas of Exact Sciences business; including, but not limited to, Commercial and Clinical Manufacturing. Other areas of focus include supplier management for select suppliers, sourcing, supply risk management, spend analytics, MRP utilization, and troubleshooting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manage the entire purchase order process; including appropriate documentation, data entry, submission, order expediting, and reconciliation of related issues.

* Support establishment and continuous improvement in the ERP/MRP system by analyzing system recommendation for accuracy and adjust item planning parameters to meet customer demands.

* Plan and forecast for select materials; determine order requirements through use of ERP system and other electronic reporting tools (e.g., spreadsheet MRP, consumption, planned vs actual).

* Assign item master purchasing and planning attributes for buy items.

* Identify and implement vendor managed inventory programs, as appropriate.

* Identify impact of suppliers raw material change notifications.

* Identify and communicate gaps and work with the appropriate teams for resolution.

* Manage vendor relationships to analyze lead times for accuracy, resolve backorders, and establish purchasing strategy.

* Prepare reports, metrics, and data summaries, as needed.

* Maintain ERP item master purchasing and planning attributes for buy items.

* Route supplier material change notifications for review and assessment by expanded cross-functional teams and coordinating actions and follow up as a result of the review.

* Identify and communicate changes in schedules and delivery with applicable teams and end users to achieve resolution.

* Follow documented procedures and complete training on time.

* Partner with other department personnel in determining the most suitable product or service to meet their needs in accordance with documented processes and approved suppliers.

* Assist the Accounts Payable team with timely resolution and information gathering related to invoicing discrepancies or concerns.

* Check requisitions for completeness and clarity; obtain any missing information, if needed, to support clear purchase order generation.

* Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained on the requisition to support order placement.

* Strong attention to detail.

Qualifications: **Minimum Qualifications**

* Bachelors degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain, or related field; or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelors degree.

* 5+ years of experience in purchasing, purchase order creation/management, supply chain operations, or quality systems.

* 4+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems.

* Proficient computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
