ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Direct receiving personnel and line service personnel to function within a LEAN manufacturing environment
  • Operate within boundaries of a prescribed budget
  • Able to work within the ISO 9000 system to purchase and inventory parts necessary to manufacture a quality product; train/direct employees in inventory control
  • Schedules/plans material deliveries through a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
  • Assure compliance to and encourage employee involvement in EHS activities, security policies, good housekeeping, cost effectiveness, company policies & quality standard adherence
  • Ensure team members are properly trained and knowledgeable of work responsibilities
  • Support recruiting & onboarding of new hires
  • Perform other job duties required by supervisor and manager and maximize work flow during employee absences


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES:

  • Familiar with ISO 9000 system; able to work within company computer programs/systems
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication ability
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent field preferred or comparable work experience in an operational/materials/logistics background
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in operational/materials/logistics setting
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in operational/materials/logistics setting


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold and noise
  • Must be able to work with diverse workforce
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods on solid surfaces in a factory setting
  • Ability to work follow-up on special situation, during weekend, evenings and holidays as needed


PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:

  • Able to work with little supervision; work within bound of departmental budget
  • Able to meet production schedule and maintain quality standards
  • Practice good housekeeping; maintain organized, safe and efficient workspace
  • Must work within budgetary boundaries
