Role: Senior Project Manager (Solar)
Location: Remote (Ideally located in Maryland or Delaware)
Join our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, as a Senior Project Manager on a fully remote opportunity. As a key member of their operations team, you'll lead the charge in developing and constructing innovative solar PV projects across targeted regions. Your role will be pivotal in supporting projects and clients from inception through ongoing maintenance, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Operations. This remote position offers exciting opportunities with 25% travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Project Excellence: Ensure the timely and budget-conscious completion of all assigned projects, overseeing the entire project life cycle from development to operations and maintenance.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with Origination and Structuring teams to evaluate projects and portfolios, actively contributing to process enhancements and improvements.
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage both internal and external resources, fostering strong partnerships and building high-performing teams to drive project success.
- Documentation and Compliance: Create, review, and maintain all project-related documents, contracts, schedules, and cost estimates promptly and accurately. Maintain project data within the designated software platform for transparency and accuracy.
- Procurement Management: Lead the Request for Proposal process, ensuring comprehensive bid evaluations and selecting preferred vendors in alignment with project objectives.
- EPC Oversight: Manage all Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) activities, hosting regular meetings and ensuring field operations are executed on time and within budget.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits as necessary to ensure project quality and compliance with safety regulations, reviewing and processing invoices in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Project Management Expertise: Familiarity with industry-standard project management methods and solar PV project management experience is preferred, along with proficiency in project planning and management software.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and process orientation skills, with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of construction processes and practices in electrical, civil, and structural trades, along with familiarity with OSHA and safety practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in the energy sector, and an undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field.
