Position Overview:


We are a leading paper and packaging manufacturer with a rich history! Operating across 15 states with over 4,200 employees, we serve the corrugated container, folding carton, and coated label markets!


This role will focus on driving personnel development and sales strategy within our Wisconsin Sheet Plant sales organization. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will lead Territory Managers, aligning their efforts with company policies and division goals. Collaboration with operations, customer service, pricing, and business development teams is key to success in this role.


Responsibilities:


Managerial Functions:


  • Oversee the daily operations of Territory Managers.
  • Establish and communicate goals consistent with division strategy.
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to support employee development.
  • Set performance standards and hold team members accountable.
  • Travel with Territory Managers to assist in business development and coaching.
  • Develop sales strategies in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Guide pricing strategy in conjunction with senior leadership.
  • Manage customer contracts and support market price adjustments.
  • Facilitate quarterly sales meetings and recruit new talent.
  • Drive business growth and profitability through goal setting and results tracking.


Direct Sales / Other Functions:


  • Manage assigned house accounts.
  • Increase sales volume and meet financial goals.
  • Lead strategic meetings to address customer needs.
  • Coordinate company resources to support customer initiatives.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and computer work to support sales activities.
  • Engage in customer entertainment activities outside of normal work hours.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
  • 5-7 years of sales and/or sales management experience.
  • Strong focus on safety and driving safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
  • Motivational and coaching abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn industry-specific software.
  • Knowledge of product and processes within the corrugated industry.
