Performs inspections, reviews, and enforcement duties in assisting in the administration and enforcement of the Town of East Hartford Property Maintenance Code, Town of East Hartford Zoning Regulations, Connecticut State Building Code and related regulations. Performs inspections for general construction and other trades as needed. Provides flexibility to the Department as needed for enforcement duties in all three areas for which the Department is responsible. This position is responsible for administrative and technical work involving the enforcement of land use zoning regulations and Town ordinances. Work involves responsibility for identifying and documenting zoning regulation violations and for enforcement administration. Duties include review of zoning applications, inspection of premises, issuance of permits, investigation of complaints, preparation of enforcement documentation and coordination of enforcement activities. This position is also responsible for making difficult zoning enforcement technical decisions. The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is tasked with oversight of the Towns Office of Information Technology (OIT) Security division specifically focusing efforts on cyber-security, risk management, department Project Management and, assisting the Chief Information Officer with developing the IT Budget and Capital Plan.
