Calibration Technician

The Calibration Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of calibration activities to ensure the accuracy and precision of test equipment.

The position will be based at DEWETRON US headquarters in East Greenwich, RI.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform automated calibration of inspection, measurement, and test equipment including setup and configuration
  • Work extensively with various test equipment
  • Identify out of tolerance conditions and rectify via adjustments, correction factors, or process change
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Maintain secondary and/or working calibration standards
  • Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration
  • Prepare calibration reports and certificates
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Participation to Proficiency Test (PT) or Inter-lab Comparison (ILC)
  • Statistical Analysis like Repeatability and Reproducibility.
  • Update and maintain ISO-17025:2017 documentation.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Electrical Engineer degree preferred; or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: Basic Computer; Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office
  • Computer skills preferred: automated calibration software
  • CRM & ERP experience preferred.
  • Basic ability to configure and operate equipment
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-motivator, work as a team player, and follow written procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently required to stand; walk and sit
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move no more than 50 pounds
