Foster Creek Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. Located in Richmond, Texas, we are a full-service animal hospital and welcome pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. *Licensed Veterinary Technician Role Requirements*
* Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
* Associate degree in Veterinary Technology
*Licensed Veterinary Technician Responsibilities*
* Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
* Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
* Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
* Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring
* Competently perform dental prophylaxis
