Job Summary: The Merchandiser serves a hands-on, physical labor role in the distribution process of beverage products. The Merchandiser travels between high volume accounts throughout their day, moves deliveries of product from stocking room to the sales floor; stocks product on the shelves, in coolers, and builds case displays. The Merchandiser also works to improve and enhance shelf and POS standards along with being responsible for organizing any back stock.
Territory: covering accounts throughout the Greater Portland area.
Position Qualifications:
- Valid Maine driver s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and rotate product on a daily basis.
- Time-management skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work within safety and customer service guidelines established at each account. Professional appearance.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed, including weekends.
Physical Requirements:- Regular and sustained periods of strenuous physical exertion requiring ability to lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics.
- Continuous walking, standing, bending, and climbing within customer s accounts. (i.e. Supermarkets, Convenience store, etc.
- Push/pull U-boats of product from the back rooms of stores into aisles or coolers to stock shelves.
- Significant periods of time spent in a vehicle, traveling to accounts within assigned territory.
- Exposure to variety of environmental conditions: weather, temperature, lighting, and noise as determined by driving conditions.
