Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV and Amazon Echo.What will you help us create?Key job responsibilitiesAs a Sr. Display Electrical Engineer, you will take a lead in display module electrical design to set the technical goals, be the point of contact and interface to the product development team, lead the development of leading-edge technologies and designs, and drive to mass production.Lead display module EE architecture, design, development, validation, qualification - From conception phase to mass productionLead and support a technical team on multiple projects in parallelDrive product, functional requirements into display specifications, document and drive display test/validation criteria and methodology for display module and systemPerform display bring up, testing, validation and using test platformDocument, review and approve milestone requirementsIdentify display related failures at module and system level and provide mitigation solutionWork with supply chain, operations teams for display module and component vendor evaluation and selectionTravel 10% internationally to AsiaWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Sunnyvale, CA, USABasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalentExperience with designing display subsystem to support display electrical interfaces standards (MIPI, eDP, I2C, SPI protocol)5+ years of experience in electrical, firmware and system level design, expert in schematic entry, layout tools and design for manufacturabilityExperience with electrical engineering schematic and layout tools such as OrCAD Capture and Cadence Allegro tool flow is a plusExperience in display electrical subsystem design, SW-FW development, lab testing, and/or system integrationExperience in delivering high volume consumer products or similar experienceExperience with display module PCB/flex design, interfaces standards, display driver IC, and display backlight controlsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalentExperience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to productionIn-depth understanding of micro display technologies uOLED, uLED, LCoS and display module, display panel, and display IC and display interfacesExperience with display electrical subsystem design/testing/implementation and system integration, display validation and testing including manufacturing testKnowledge and hands on experience - Electrical signal integrity and simulations, display or system power delivery, simulations and display electrical test system developmentExperience with display module PCB/flex design, interface standards, display driver IC, and display backlight controlsExperience with EMI and ESD risks and design mitigation and validationExperience with MATLAB, Python, or other scripting languagesDirect working experience with display vendorsExtensive knowledge on various high-speed display electrical interfaces standards including MIPI and eDP protocol design/testing/implementationExcellent written (white papers) and oral communication skillsSelf-motivated and self-directed individual, with little supervision necessaryAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market.
