Our team of researchers evaluates novel interaction techniques and user interfaces to enhance human experiences in the augmented world. THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU


As a Research Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting human subject research studies, collaborating closely with a diverse team of researchers and engineers. Responsibilities include setting up experiments, conducting literature reviews, recruiting participants, and assisting with experimental design. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research within the burgeoning fields of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality.


KEY SUCCESS FACTORS


  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, cognitive science, computer science, engineering, or related fields
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a research environment involving human subjects
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Participant Engagement in a Human Computer -Interaction (HCI), User Experience Research (UXR) or other Human Subjects Research (HSR) environment.
  • Research Literature Review
  • Data entry/Database management


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree (MA, doctoral student)
  • Experience analyzing data and designing research protocols
  • Familiarity with biosignal data collection and study design procedures
  • Leadership experience in coordinating research teams
  • Some coding/scripting: Python, Matlab, SQL
  • Biosignal data collection: wet/dry EEG, EMG EKG, fMRI, etc.
  • Familiarity with study design, protocol documentation, and review (e.g., IRB) procedures
  • Leadership of teams of research assistants/research coordinators
