We are currently seeking QA Laboratory Technicians with some manufacturing and Quality Assurance experience for 2nd shift. Experience in a laboratory environment or restaurant management is also valued. Three Openings!
This is a TEMP-TO-HIRE opportunity! Our client is invested in the future of their associates. They are offering a $500 Sign On Bonus once associates are hired on full time (typically after 3-4 months of working through PrideStaff). After that being hired on, associates are eligible for $0.50 raises at the 90 and 180 day marks. It doesn't end there- there are higher levels within the lab department, creating many opportunities for promotion!
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity!
Pay rate: $19.50
Shifts:1:45 PM-10:15PM 5 Days(5 in the week, one weekend shift)
48 Hours a week
Position Overview:
The QA Laboratory Technician reports to the Inventory/Receiving Manager and is responsible for:
- Verifying that product meets or exceeds safe food handling and quality standards.
- Collaborating with Operations to ensure set quality parameters are adhered to
- Collaborating with Operations to ensure controls in place are functioning as designed
QA Laboratory Technician's Key Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Verify product quality and integrity by checking the production line during the filling of each lot
- Monitor the line and equipment for food safety related items such as good manufacturing practices and proper sanitation practices.
- Ensure proper use and care of analytical instruments and equipment, including daily calibration checks.
- Inspect rework before it is used and make sure documentation provides traceability.
- Receive Raw Materials and follow necessary procedures to ensure compliance to company receipt, handling and storage processes.
- Assist in problem solving events to determine root cause and establish preventive measures.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional course work in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or another related discipline is a plus.
- Some relevant experience desired in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Detail oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow procedures.
- Flexible work schedule and the ability to work occasional overtime and some weekends.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
