Wholesale Distribution Manager

As the Wholesale Distribution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our wholesale distribution operations. Reporting to the Director of Food Service & Convenience you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, managing relationships with distributors and wholesalers, and ensuring seamless delivery of our products to our targeted customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven sales professional with a hunter mentality and a passion for driving growth and delivering exceptional results in the CPG industry.


Your responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize wholesale distribution operations and exceed sales targets, considering market trends and customer preferences.
  • Utilizing current data and insights, actively solicit and call upon prospective wholesale distributors to leverage the sales process and close distribution voids.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors and wholesalers to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of goals to drive sales.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with distributors and wholesalers to maximize profitability, minimize costs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage distribution channels to ensure accuracy in demand planning and timely delivery of products to customers, while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, develop strategies to capitalize on market dynamics, and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to align distribution strategies with overall business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures related to wholesale distribution operations, including food safety and quality standards.


You should have:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in wholesale beer distribution management and/or sales with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth and market expansion.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, wholesalers, and foodservice customers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to inform decision-making and drive business results.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics operations, including inventory management and distribution channel optimization.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams, drive change, and achieve results.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of mid to senior level audiences.
  • Ability to function at a high level with minimal supervision, remain organized and adjust to constantly changing priorities.
  • Flexibility with a strong sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals with minimal direction.
  • Must thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Computer literacy with expertise in CRM, Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Dynamics, or other CRM.


Physical demands:

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
