A highly reputable General Contractor in Greater Detroit is looking to add a Senior Superintendent to their team. Responsibilities
- Supervise the on-site team from the beginning of construction until project completion.
- Proactively identify and address design flaws, scheduling issues, and other project-specific challenges.
- Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors before each phase of work begins.
- Establish and update project schedules
- Assist in developing scopes of work for subcontractors and review them.
- Review and approve invoices and requisitions for accurate vendor payments.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards by enforcing safety protocols on the job site.
- Manage and evaluate project personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
- Maintain regular communication with owners, construction managers, fellow superintendents, and project coordinators to track progress.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in a Superintendent role at a General Contractor
- Successful track record running ground-up projects valued at $15M or more
- Experience working on Light Industrial projects is highly preferred; additional, relevant project experience will be considered
- Design/Build experience is a huge plus
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Procore or Microsoft Project experience
