Warehouse Materials Manager - Greater Milwaukee, WI
- Lead a cross-functional team responsible for managing and enhancing internal material logistics, shipping/receiving and warehouse operations.
- Clearly define and communicate team members duties and responsibilities, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a team-based atmosphere.
- Oversee transactional discipline and maintain overall accountability for inventory control corporate reporting, cycle count programs, and perpetual transactions.
- Develop and implement cross-training processes within the department to enable team members to perform multiple functions.
- Understand and interpret labor contracts and policies affecting personnel administration.
- Monitor safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance metrics.
- Take necessary actions to meet each metric and recommend proposals to address future forecasted demand.
- Lead continuous improvement and kaizen activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree required preferably in Business Administration or Engineering with a concentration in supply chain or operations management.
- MBA and continuing education in the field of supply chain or operations management preferred.
- Five years experience in plant level materials management.
- Strong leadership competencies and negotiation skills required.
