This position is only open to students enrolled in the DVM program at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.

This person will be responsible for the assisting with the veterinary care of animals being housed in the J.T. Vaughan Large Animal Teaching Hospital (LATH), including but not limited to:

* Feeding

* Administering treatments

* Daily health checks

* Collecting biomedical samples

* Animal restraining

* Restocking commonly used supplies

Essential Functions

* Assisting with treatments of animals admitted to the LATH, Food Animal Service, including but not limited to, subcutaneous, intravenous, and intramuscular injections, hanging IV Fluids, etc.

* Clean working/handling facilities between animals

* Following biosecurity protocols while moving animals through out the facilities

* Properly labeling and storage of biomedical samples

* Reporting all abnormal findings and observations to senior clinician and residents assigned to the service

* Restocking commonly used supplies

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled DVM student at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with large animals

* Experience in a veterinary hospital

* Collecting samples

* Record keeping

Pay Rate $10.00/hour Work Hours 12 City position is located in: Auburn State position is located: Alabama
